Some Kindergartners May Have To Wait To Attend Memphis Schools

For lots of kids, all across the United States, turning 5 is a coming of age. They are now old enough to go to school! They can attend Kindergarten, and now, they are big kids! No more preschool, naptime, or blankies. It’s the big time.

For future Memphis schools students, their first day of Kindergarten may just have to wait a bit. Legislators are considering a change in the necessary birth date a child must have in order to attend kindergarten at all Tennessee schools, including Memphis schools. Currently, the cutoff is September 30. The proposal would change that date to September 1.

How to use Tables

One of the lessons on how to use the editor for web pages.

If you want to put text beside pictures using the Insert/Edit Table Button is one of the ways to accomplish this.

Another use of the table is grouping pictures.

Once you click on the Insert/Edit Table Button the following screen will appear.

Let’s start at the top right with Rows and Columns. Rows go up and down the page, and Columns go across the page. If you want to do just one picture with text beside it like I did on the top of this page, you will want to have 1 in the box beside Row, and a 2 in the box beside Column. In the second table I still have the Row set to 1, but the Column is set to 4.

Easterners and Westerners see things in different perspectives.  Even the way they view a street scene is not the same, brain scans show.  This helps us understand the learning patterns across countries and cultures and helps us understand how our brain works during learning.

Culture can affect not just language and customs, but also how people experience the world at surprisingly basic levels, new brain research has revealed.

Researchers, with the help of brain scans have uncovered shocking differences in perception between Westerners and Asians, what they see when they look at a city street, for example, or even how they perceive a simple line in a square, according to findings published in a leading science journal.
